Welcoming the investment happening at Swansea station, Simon Pickering, Passenger Focus manager in Wales, said: “Passengers tell us that the condition of stations in Wales is starting to get better thanks to government and industry investment in recent times. This is good news as passenger satisfaction with stations in Wales is lower than in the rest of Great Britain and we want to close this gap.

“Passengers want investment to happen in improving stations – the gateway to the railway. But a key priority for passengers is getting better information, especially during times of disruption and we would therefore like to see real-time information at every station in Wales, which should help train companies improve passenger satisfaction with how well they handle disruption.”
